DCoTX: Samantha Jeffery (Leona Brooks)

Fun fact:
Sam is terrified of public speaking – as herself.
Number of years with DCoT: This makes 3!
Favourite DCoT memory: Hearing an audience member exclaim “Holy shit this is better than the Walking Dead” at the top of the show.
What you’re most afraid of: Being trapped in a no-wiggle-room cave.

Samantha Jeffery is an Edmonton-based actor, fighter, and creator (amongst other things). She graduated from the University of Alberta’s BFA Acting program and has since spent her time throwing herself into as much weird experimental theatre/fight/film/performance art as possible…the scarier the better! This is her third Dead Centre of Town. Sam holds an Intermediate Actor Combatant with Fight Directors Canada. She is a Sterling-nominated fight director, and also teaches & performs fights for stage and film. As an actor and creator, some favourite stage credits include: A Beautiful View (Precipice Productions), In Shoes (Shortgirl Productions), Henry V (Malachite Theatre), A Thought In Three Parts (Theatre Outre), I Am For You (Concrete Theatre), A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Theatre Prospero), and Tamora in Titus Andronicus (University of Alberta). Sam is currently touring The Bully Project with Concrete Theatre, and can be seen next in the upcoming production of Twelfth Night with the Edmonton Shakespeare Collective.
