Flip a Dime

One Saturday evening many decades ago, a tall, dark and handsome man came into a moving picture theatre. He was greeted by a stunningly beautiful usherette. While intrigued by his charming nature, the usherette was only 17. Despite the man’s best efforts, she knew her father wouldn’t approve of her going on a date with this perfect stranger. The man, with a spark in his eye, flipped her a dime and asked her to call him when she was of age. She did. They were married shortly thereafter.

That usherette and tall, dark, handsome were Beth’s and Megan’s grandparents.
