NextFest. June 2008
Exploring some serious art on art action, Catch the Keys Production’s Art on Art was the climactic collective of the 2008 NextFest NiteClub’s. A series of commissioned thematic photos taken by Vancouver’s Sheen Caddick were given to Andrew Smith of the electric arc, who created music inspired by the story of the photos. The music was then given to Catch the Keys’ resident playwright, Megan Dart. Having not seen the photos, Megan wrote a script, which was directed by Beth Dart. The result? A beautifully lyrical movement piece brought to life by the amazing acting talents of Stuart Hoye, Nicole Shaffenaeker, and Nikolai Witschl.
